25-year-old woman dead after a single-car crash in west Las Vegas Valley (Las Vegas, NV)

On Sunday morning, a 25-year-old woman lost her life following a single-vehicle accident in west Las Vegas Valley.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place a little after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Sky Vista Drive and W. Charleston Boulevard. The preliminary investigation showed that a 2019 Kia Forte was going at a high rate of speed at the T-intersection when the driver ran a stop sign or slow down before entering the intersection.

After that, the car hit a raised landscaped median before going airborne into a nearby desert area and striking a large rock. The driver, a 25-year-old woman, suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The woman was the sole occupant of her vehicle. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are made available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
