According to the Los Angeles County Department, a fatal crash was reported on Tuesday in Malibu Hills. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred a mile north of Pacific Coast Highway. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 25-year-old Luis Gonzalez. Gonzalez’s vehicle veered off the roadway and plunged over a cliff.

As a result of this, Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Other insights are pending release.

The crash continues to be investigated by the LACD. it is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
