Laredo Police have identified the victim of Monday morning’s multi-vehicle accident as Kassandra Lozano, 25, who was a passenger in a Chevy Corvette involved in the collision. The fatal crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 12 at the 5200 block of Loop 20. Preliminary reports indicate that four other individuals sustained injuries, but their identities remain undisclosed. Both a Chevy Corvette and a Chevy Silverado were heavily damaged in the crash, leading to the temporary closure of the southbound lane of Loop 20.
The Laredo Police Department’s CRASH Team is currently investigating the cause of the collision. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
