Officials identified 25-year-old Gregorian Cater, from Houston, as the woman who lost her life after a crash early Saturday morning in Beaumont that also caused injuries to three others, including two children.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place on a grassy area off the I-10 Frontage Road at the 7th Street exit. The preliminary reports showed that the woman who died was riding in a car that crashed into a tree early Saturday morning and then flipped over before coming to a rest.
Gregorian Cater was thrown from the vehicle during the collision, and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. A one-year-old boy was also ejected from the vehicle, and is currently in very critical condition at Texas Children’s Hospital. A five-year-old boy is listed in stable condition at Texas Children’s.
The man who was driving is in stable condition following surgery at Baptist Hospital. The family was from Houston and was traveling to New Orleans when the incident happened. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
