The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Vancouver on Sunday morning. The accident occurred on State Route 14 just before 5 a.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. The vehicle had been headed down the highway when it drifted onto the right shoulder. It then crashed into a light pole before rolling over and blocking the westbound lanes.
The driver of the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified the victim as 25-year-old Eden Ewings.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
