One person tragically lost their life in a collision involving a train and a car in Wood County on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on Fostoria Road between State Route 795 and State Route 51 near Millbury and Allen Township at approximately 9:45 a.m.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, preliminary investigations reveal that Daniella Gamboa Pabon, 25, of Toledo, was driving southbound on North Fostoria Road when her vehicle was struck by an eastbound train.
Sadly, Pabon succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The incident remains under investigation. It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
