The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash in Nolan County. The accident happened on Interstate 20.
According to a preliminary investigation, they were moving east in the right lane when a truck pulling a semi-trailer passed them. The passenger fell off the bike as the driver moved onto the shoulder to avoid being struck by the truck.
The passenger was identified as Sweetwater resident Alexis Faith Biggs, 24, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities were unable to find the truck driver at the time.
According to police, she was not wearing a helmet.
