The San Antonio Police Department reported a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday morning. The accident happened in the 11000 block of Interstate 10 on the Northwest Side at around 3:10 a.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A Lincoln pickup was headed down the road when it crashed into the barrier dividing the main lines of the interstate and the exit ramp for De Zavala Road.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle due to the force of the collision. He was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is not yet known at this time.
The fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
