The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident on Saturday in Yuba County. The accident occurred on State Route 20, west of Sicard Flat Road.
According to the officials, a 2010 Toyota Corolla was headed east on the state route when the driver lost control and drove off the north edge of the road. This caused it to go down an embankment where the right side of the vehicle crashed into a tree.
The driver was found dead in the vehicle after having sustained fatal injuries. The officials have not revealed the identity of the victim at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. They have confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash. There are no other details available at this time.
