The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident in Corpus Christi on Sunday. The accident occurred on the westbound lanes of FM 665 and FM 70.
According to the officials, three vehicles were involved in the accident. The events leading up to this crash are not yet known at this time.
One of the passengers present in the second vehicle involved was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. She has since been identified as 24-year-old Kaitlyn Garcia.
The officials have not reported anything regarding the other people involved in the fatal crash and whether they incurred injuries. The accident is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
