According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Perris on Monday. The crash happened on Interstate 215 at around 12:45 a.m.
According to the investigators, a 2020 Dodge Charger and a 24-year-old were involved in the collision. The Dodge driver traveling in the dark was unable to see the pedestrian and struck the 24-year-old.
A 24-year-old Justin Torres was identified as the pedestrian who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
