According to the Nevada State Police, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Las Vegas on Friday.
The crash happened near Nellis Boulevard and Meikle Lane, south of Lake Mead Boulevard at around 12:16 a.m.
The driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling at a high rate of speed and hit the metal pole of a billboard and into a brick wall.
24-year-old Jennifer Rubi Stot Cruz was identified as the passenger of the Chevrolet who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was identified as the 21-year-old Jesus Martinez-Ruiz who suffered minor injuries.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided.
