According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported on Tuesday in Corpus Christi. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred east on FM 2826, just south of Robstown. A Jeep was going eastward when a Chrysler SUV was going southward. The driver of the Jeep disregarded a stop sign and struck the Chrysler on its left side.
The driver of the Jeep was identified as 24-year-old Emily Marie Chavana. Chavana was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
Other insights into the collision are yet to be released. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the TDPS.
