According to the Indio Police Department, a motor vehicle collision involved a motorcycle and a vehicle. It resulted in the death of a 24-year-old man, identified as Daniel Hernandez, in Indio on Sunday.
Roughly at 12:24 p.m., Hernandez travelling on Monroe Street, heading to San Jacinto Avenue, collided with an unidentified vehicle. Hernandez was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not yet known if the driver of the second vehicle was injured due to the collision.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
