Authorities have reported a pedestrian crash that killed a 23-year-old woman in East Oakland on Monday. The accident occurred at 42nd Avenue and International Boulevard at around 12:45 a.m.
According to the officials, a pedestrian and a vehicle were involved in a crash. A 23-year-old woman standing near the sidewalk in the intersection was struck by a car. The woman was transported to the hospital, where she was declared dead.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
