Local police authorities reported a motor vehicle accident in Garland, Texas, on February 4. The crash occurred on Interstate 635 near La Prada Drive, and the exact time of the incident remains unclear.
According to the official, the driver of an SUV lost control of his vehicle in the eastbound lanes, striking concrete barriers on both sides of the highway, and was ejected from the vehicle. A 23-year-old man identified as Victor Javier Alvarez Munoz was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Authorities suggested that roadway conditions might have played a role in the accident. There were no other reported injuries.
