According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday night in Apple Valley. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Bear Valley Road and Savage Lane, east of Deep Creek Road. A Suzuki motorcycle was struck by a Toyota Corolla.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 23-year-old Trevor A. McGill. McGill was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The driver of the Corolla was not injured due to the accident.

The cause of the collision is pending determination. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. 

The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
