According to the Phoenix Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday morning in Phoenix. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near 27th Avenue and Osborn Road. The victim of the wreck was identified as 23-year-old Summer Olheiser. Olheiser was struck by a moving vehicle.
The vehicle fled the scene before the police could arrive. Olheiser was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The cause of the accident has yet to be released. The crash continues to be investigated by the PPD.
