The Beaumont Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Easter Sunday early morning. The accident happened on Interstate 10 at around 2:30 a.m.
A Vinton Mother, Skylah Grimshaw, 23 was traveling east on I-10 through Beaumont when her vehicle rear-ended a 2015 Dodge Dart. According to police, Grimshaw lost control of her 2014 Toyota Corolla, which ran off the road and struck a tree.
Officials confirmed that the victim was declared dead at the scene. It is not yet known if anyone else was injured in the accident.
The fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. According to Beaumont police, she was not buckled up. Additional details are not available currently.
