According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, a pedestrian crash was reported on Tuesday.
The officials stated that at around 3 a.m. the crash happened in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The officials stated that a driver of a white Chevy Equinox struck 23-year-old Robert Estepp IV.
The Justice of Peace declared the victim dead at the scene.
The officials are investigating to determine whether drugs, alcohol or distracted driving was a contributing factor in the fatal crash.
No additional information relating to the charges on the driver was released.
