The Corpus Christi Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as Marcos Talunga.
Around 9:13 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Ennis Joslin Road and Alameda Streets, the crash happened when a motorcycle was travelling southbound on Ennis Joslin and a vehicle was travelling northbound on the same street when it made a turn westbound to Alameda and was struck by the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle driver was issued a citation for failure to yield on a left turn. It is not known if the driver was injured.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
