According to the Louisiana State Police, a multi-vehicle crash was reported on Saturday in Zachary.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the fatal accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on US 61.
Edward Poray Frank driving a 2018 Toyota Tundra was speeding.
At the same time, John Anthony Dante’ Daniels was parked behind a 2008 Toyota Prius at a red light.
Frank crashed into Daniels’ vehicle and also caused a separate crash between Daniels’ vehicle and the Prius.
Daniels succumbed to his injuries due to the wreck and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Frank and the driver of the Prius survived with moderate injuries.
