The Fife Police Department reported that a fatal car crash took place on Tuesday night.
The incident unfolded at approximately 9:30 PM., prompting officers to respond to the intersection of 70th Avenue East and 20th Street East in Fife.
Preliminary findings from an investigation conducted indicate that a car was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed, leading to collisions with multiple light poles, trees, and a fire hydrant.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the driver, a 23-year-old man, in an unresponsive state. Tacoma Fire medics were summoned to the scene, but unfortunately, the man was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation to determine what contributed to this incident is ongoing.
