The Gilbert Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Monday. The accident happened on Williams Field Road close to Val Vista Drive.
The collision involved two vehicles. The events leading up to the crash are not yet known at this time.
According to the officials, a 23-year-old motorbike rider was taken to the hospital by Gilbert Fire and Rescue for treatment, but the man passed away there. The man’s identity has not been made public.
According to police, the female driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision was found to be driving while intoxicated and was taken into custody.
The fatal crash is being investigated by officials. It is believed that impairment caused the crash. Additional details are not available currently.
