According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Ventura County on Thursday. The crash happened on the State Street off-ramp on Highway 101 at around 1:50 a.m.
According to the investigators, a Hyundai sedan and a 23-year-old man were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the Hyundai traveling on the Highway crashed into a steel pole.
A 23-year-old Jonathan Logan Knight was identified as the driver of the Hyundai who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the deputies, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. Additional information regarding the fatal crash is not available currently.
