On Sunday, 23-year-old Jasmine Amesquita and 5-month-old Ragnar Segovia, both residents of Apple Valley, lost their lives following a two-vehicle collision on Deep Creek Road.
The fatal incident took place at about 2:23 p.m. at the Poppy Road intersection wherein two cars were involved. As a result of the crash, both of them died from their injuries at the scene. According to officials, a Ford Crown Victoria and a Toyota Corolla were involved in the wreck. The cause and circumstances that have resulted in the crash remain unknown at this time.
Authorities are trying to find out the cause that led to the fatal crash.
