On Monday, 23-year-old Jarod N Clement and 48-year-old Lionso Rodriguez, from Odessa, lost their lives in a fatal two-vehicle collision on Interstate 20 just 13 miles west of Midland.
Officials mentioned that Jarod N Clement and Lionso Rodriguez were heading east at around 10:20 a.m. in a 2018 Dodge Ram that was pulling a trailer. The report revealed that the Dodge Ram failed to control its speed as it approached a construction zone and rear-ended a 2003, Peterbilt, truck-tractor that was hauling a semi-trailer. DPS reported that the Dodge Ram was engulfed into flames after the accident. Both men succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
