23-year-old Emily Crawford, from Big Spring, lost her life while 61-year-old Willie Conner suffered injuries following a two-vehicle accident Sunday on I-20.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on I-20 approximately nine miles east of Midland. The preliminary investigation showed that Willie Conner was driving a truck west on Interstate 20. On the other hand, Emily Crawford was sitting in an SUV parked on the north shoulder because she was running out of fuel.
At some point of time, Conner swerved into the north shoulder and rear-ended Crawford’s vehicle. Crawford suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Conner was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. Both the victims were not buckled up at the time of the collision. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under investigation.
