23-year-old Dustin Pitner killed after a rollover crash on I-5 in Cowlitz County (Cowlitz County, WA)

Authorities identified 23-year-old Dustin Pitner, from Kalama, as the man who lost his life following a rollover accident on Friday night in Cowlitz County.

Officers quickly responded to the area of Interstate 5 north near milepost 31 just before midnight on reports of a single-vehicle crash. On arrival, responders found a pickup truck that had flipped over.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the pickup drifted off the highway to the left, struck a barrier, flipped and then ended up in the left lane. The driver of the pickup, identified as 23-year-old Dustin Pitner, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
