Authorities responded to a hit-and-run crash on the northbound lane of Interstate 5.
According to Officer Hunter Gerber with the California Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old driver was struck, causing her vehicle to overturn on a San Diego freeway.
The 23-year-old was driving her silver Nissan Sentra on I-5 north when she was struck by a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Jeep.
Following the collision, the Nissan Sentra overturned onto the right shoulder.
The 23-year-old was taken to Scripps Memorial hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The authorities are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed were a factor in the crash.
