According to the San Diego Police Department, a hit-and-run accident occurred in San Diego on Sunday.
The crash happened on Riviera Drive near Edgecliff Drive at around 1:30 a.m. According to the investigators, a Toyota Tacoma and a 22-year-old woman were involved in the collision. The driver of the Tacoma traveling southbound jumped the sidewalk and struck the woman.
The officials stated that the woman suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased woman.
The accident is still being investigated. According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. Additional information regarding the fatal crash is not available currently.
