A tragic crash in Snyder has claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman after a driver failed to yield while entering a highway. The incident occurred on Highway 84 around 8 p.m. on March 21.

According to reports, 35-year-old Colton Guynes was driving west on Ennis Creek Road toward Highway 84 with Victoria Salinas, 22, as a passenger. Guynes attempted to turn onto the southbound lane of Highway 84 but failed to yield to oncoming traffic.

This resulted in a collision with a pickup truck driven by Eric Morin, 31, who was heading south on Highway 84. Salinas suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Lubbock, where she tragically passed away on March 23. Guynes and Morin sustained serious injuries and were also hospitalized. The crash remains under investigation.
