The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday and confirmed that one person died. The deceased victim was identified as 22-year-old Joseph M. Moretti.
The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon and involved only one vehicle. Moretti was driving a 2003 Honda Accord east on CR 378 when he failed to give one-half of the roadway. This caused him to crash into another vehicle that was driving west of CR 378.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It remains uncertain whether alcohol or drugs were contributing factors in the collision.
