On early Monday morning, 22-year-old Enrique Aguirre, a resident of Dowagiac, lost his life following a single-vehicle accident in southern Michigan.
The fatal incident took place at about 3:26 a.m. near the intersection of M-62 and Sink Road in Silver Creek Township. According to the reports, Aguirre was traveling east when his vehicle ran off the road for still unknown reasons and flipped over multiple times.
The force of the crash ejected Aguirre from his vehicle as he was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at that time. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, emergency responders stated. No other details are available.
The crash remains under active investigation.
