A fatal crash occurred 4 miles east of Sprague on Thursday morning, resulting in one fatality and two injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol. Litzy Arvivo, a 22-year-old from Merced, California, lost control of the eastbound vehicle on Interstate 90.
This caused the vehicle to enter the median and roll. Arvivo and her passenger, Maira Guillen Baeza, 26, from Moses Lake, were transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center with injuries, both having worn seatbelts.
Unfortunately, Angel Cuevas, 22, of George, Washington, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead. The officials later identified the victim, after informing the next-of-kin.
The cause of the multi-vehicle accident is attributed to speed, and an ongoing investigation by WSP aims to provide further details.
