The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident on Saturday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as 21-year-old Zackery S. Faris.
Around Saturday morning at 5:06 a.m., the crash happened at U.S. 79 North, about 3.5 miles south of DeBerry. A vehicle was headed down the highway when it suddenly lost control and went off the road. It then crashed into a tree.
The driver was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
