The Roswell Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident on Monday morning. The accident occurred near South Main Street and Burkett Road at around 1:20 a.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in the collision. The vehicle had hit a pedestrian and fled the scene before the police could arrive.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The officials have reported that the vehicle involved in the accident was an orange sportscar with black stripes, according to witnesses. The fatal crash is still being investigated.
