The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a tragic crash that occurred on Sunday evening, claiming the life of one woman and injuring four others. The collision, involving two vehicles on Schaefer Road in West Knox County, resulted in the death of 21-year-old Veronica Roberto of Knoxville, daughter of Knoxville 2nd District Councilmember Andrew Roberto.

According to the crash report, one vehicle crossed the centerline, leading to a head-on collision. Suspicions of alcohol influence were raised for the driver and passengers in one car. Charges are pending as the investigation continues. There are no other details available at this time.
