According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Harrison County on Saturday.
The crash happened east of Marshall on Interstate 20 at around 10:30 a.m.
According to the investigators, a 2015 GMC Terrain and a man were involved in the collision. The driver of the GMC failed to drive in a single lane and entered the center median where his vehicle slid sideways and collided with a concrete barrier.
21-year-old Stephen C Stec was identified as the driver of the GMC who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Additional information regarding the fatal crash is not available currently.
