According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in the West on Tuesday. The crash happened on IH-35 North near mile marker 359 at around 6:50 p.m.
According to the investigators, a semi-trailer, a KIA Forte, and a Dodge Ram were involved in the collision. The driver of the semi-trailer traveling at a reduced speed crashed into a Dodge Ram due to icy road conditions. According to the reports, the driver of the semi-trailer lost control of the vehicle and slid into a Kia Forte which trapped the driver.
The driver of the Kia was identified as 21-year-old Rochelle Robertson who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. There are no other details available at this time.
