The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a five-vehicle accident on Tuesday.
The accident occurred on Texas 21, between OSR and FM 50, just outside of Bryan. The accident happened at around 10:45 p.m.
According to the officials, three International trucks and a pickup truck towing a trailer were headed east in a convoy conducting roadway construction. An 18-wheeler was also headed east when it approached the convoy and crashed into all its units.
One of the people present in the convoy, identified as 21-year-old Micheal Gray, incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
There were three other people injured and they were taken to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan for treatment. Their identities have not been disclosed.
The fatal accident is still being investigated.
There are no other details available at this time.
