21-Year-Old Mario Calderas Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Crash In Fresno (Fresno, CA)

A tragic crash in Fresno County claimed the life of 21-year-old Mario Calderas of Caruthers on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lincoln and Marks Avenue, just west of Easton.

According to officers, a semi-truck traveling east on Lincoln collided with a Toyota SUV driven by Calderas, who failed to stop at a stop sign on Marks Avenue. The impact caused Calderas to be ejected from his vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sadly, he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The semi-truck veered off into a ditch and caught fire, but the driver managed to escape with minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
