Houston police are currently investigating a fatal crash involving a golf cart and a parked tractor-trailer truck. The multi-vehicle accident unfolded at 6415 Mesa Drive around 8:45 a.m. on March 8.
The victim, a 21-year-old male, has not yet been identified, pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster, the young man was operating the white golf cart northbound through a gravel parking lot when he lost control of his speed, resulting in a collision with the stationary tractor-trailer truck.
Despite the efforts of Houston Fire Department paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the crash’s circumstances remains ongoing as authorities seek to understand the sequence of events leading to this tragic outcome.
