The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in San Joaquin on Monday. The accident claimed the life of a 21-year-old man. It occurred on Interstate 5, Peltier Road.
At around 1:49 a.m., a 21-year-old was travelling on the westbound lanes of the highway when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. The 21-year-old was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
