The Oceanside Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred on Oceanside Boulevard, just west of Vine Street at around 5:25 p.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A pickup was headed west when the driver lost control of the vehicle. This caused it to roll over and land on its back.
The driver of the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
