According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Fallbrook at around 9:40 p.m. The crash happened on East View Street near North Main Avenue.
According to the investigators, a blue Honda Accord and an unknown pedestrian were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the Honda traveling on East View struck the unknown man.
The unknown pedestrian suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead following the collision. The Fallbrook Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
The accident is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Additional information regarding the fatal crash is not available currently.
