The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash in Santa Clarita on Saturday morning. The crash happened on the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway freeway at Castaic Scales at around 2:50 a.m.
The collision involved a white van and a man. The events leading up to the collision have not been disclosed at this time.
21-year-old Lance Lott was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Coroner’s office. It is not yet known if there were other people injured in the accident.
It is unsure what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were involved is it to be found.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Additional details regarding the crash are not available currently.
