According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a motor vehicle accident was reported in Macon on Saturday night.
Authorities confirmed that a 21-year-old woman was critically injured in the crash.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office stated that the traffic collision occurred when the injured woman was walking on Ocmulgee East Boulevard.
The investigators said that she walked into the path of a Dodge Ram truck driven by a 38-year-old man from Mableton.
The BCSO confirmed that the injured woman was transported to Atrium Health with critical injuries.
No other person was injured due to the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
