The Richland Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Friday evening. The accident happened in Columbia Park, between the east boat launch and skate park at around 7 p.m.
The driver, identified as Elias Cervantes Jr., 21, of Moses Lake, was traveling at a high rate of speed both up and down the road. He allegedly did this while losing control of the bike and was thrown from it.
Elias reportedly hit a concrete sign and was declared dead at the scene.
Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Additional information regarding the crash is not available currently.
