The Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle accident in Wasco.
The officials stated that two cars collided with one another on State Route 46 east of Gun Club Drive at around 5:45 a.m.
The officials confirmed that 21-year-old Alejandro Orpineda Olivas died at the scene.
Olivas was the passenger in one of the vehicles.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash to determine whether drugs, alcohol or reckless driving was the factor involved in the crash.
The Coroner’s office will conduct a postmortem to confirm that drugs and alcohol were not involved on Olivas’s side.
No other information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officers.
